2022 Clothing Swap! A fundraiser for Resilient Neighborhoods

Want to look good while doing good? Don’t shop, swap! This Clothing Swap is a triple treat: You’ll clear your closet… Change up your look… AND help raise funds for  Resilient Neighborhoods' award-winning climate action program.

Clothing Swap

When: Saturday, October 15, 1 to 4 pm

Tickets: Tickets are free - donate what you can – no one turned away for lack of funds!

Follow the link to make a donation (LINK)

Follw the link to reserve your ticket! (LINK)

All donations will be MATCHED dollar for dollar by our generous event host, up to $500! No one turned away for lack of funds. Donations are fully tax-deductible.

How it works: Bring up to five bags of quality clothing you and your family no longer wear. This can include men’s, women’s and children’s tops, pants, jackets, dresses, skirts, shoes, jewelry, costumes, sportswear and accessories. Please no undergarments. Be sure items are clean with no stains. There will be a semi-private enclosed area to try on clothing.

We also invite you to bring high-quality housewares and health and beauty products in usable condition (such as hair and skin care products that didn't work for you but someone else may love!)

What:

Learn about Resilient Neighborhoods' great program

Take home clothing new-to-you

Be in a fashion show (optional)!

Socialize in a private, outdoor garden

Donate up to five bags of quality clothing

All sizes/all genders/all ages welcome. Please no pets.

Face masks required.

Where: Event takes place OUTSIDE in the garden of a private home in San Rafael. Address will be distributed to guests. Plenty of street parking.

Why: The clothing and textiles industry is the SECOND most polluting industry in the world. It consumes lots of water and energy, exploits labor, and creates massive pollution at every step from fields to factories.

By reducing the amount of clothing you purchase new and recycling gently worn clothing for others to enjoy, you can reduce your carbon footprint, save money and resources, and enjoy new items in your wardrobe every season.
