Creekside Room - 7:00pm
IJ Forums is a series of conversations (not debates) between knowledgeable people regarding topical issues of interest to Marin IJ readers. In this public session, the first 40 minutes is a give-and-take with moderator Dick Spotswood voicing concerns and questions on behalf of IJ readers, television viewers and Southern Marin residents. Panelists respond with their thoughts and suggestions on the issue. The program’s final 20 minutes is open to the public who are invited to directly question panelists.
This program focuses on the auto commute, addressing concerns that motorists’ needs have been overlooked, with particular reference to the Mill Valley-Tiburon Peninsula US 101 interchange, and difficulties faced by travelers on Shoreline Highway attempting to access Tam Valley and Mt. Tamalpais. The three invited panelists will respond with their thoughts and suggestions for improving Southern Marin’s debilitating traffic congestion. Prior IJ Forums have addressed Marin bicycle and transit needs.
