Join us for this visual and tactile learning experience about pruning woody plants. There will be three distinct parts to the session. The first part focuses on pruning lexicon and plant biology with plant samples. The second part covers the reasons for pruning. During the final part, the instructors will demonstrate the fundamental cuts with a variety of plant samples. If time allows, there will be small group participation and a question/answer period. By the end, attendees should come away with an elementary knowledge of where, why and how to prune.
Betty Jennings and Margaret Chu are Marin Master Gardener Pruning Guild journeyman pruners. They have had two years of extensive lecture and hands-on training from certified pruners. While continuing to gain pruning knowledge and skills from experts, they are now pruning mentors to new Pruning Guild members.
