Learn the principles of a dramatic narrative and monologue with nationally recognized playwright & writing instructor Lynne Kaufman.
We are storytelling creatures. It is through narrative that we understand and share our life experiences. In the first session of this two session workshop, learn the principles of creating a dramatic narrative, outline your own five minute monologue and develop it with instructor guidance.
After writing your monologue and practice delivering it during the intervening week, at the second session, you present it with constructive feedback from the instructor and the class. The goal is to improve your skills as both a writer and an oral storyteller while enjoying the gift of myriad shared stories. No prior writing or performing experience is necessary. Class meets on Saturdays, August 10th and 17th from 1-4 pm.
Lynne Kaufman is an award winning, nationally recognized playwright. She teaches writing at The Fromm Institute and OLLISF.
