Whether stories are hilarious, poignant, suspenseful, or heartwarming, the one thing you can count on is that our next edition of Naked Truth will be a fantastic night of true, live storytelling. Storytellers and lightning round contestant won't be limited to a specific theme, so everyone can tell their favorite story. Josh Healey will emcee and tell a story along with Adam Mansbach, Richard Sarvate, and Judi Le.

(If registration for this event is full, there is a good chance you can still get a seat. Registration may re-open as cancellations occur, or feel free to stop by the night of the event and join the wait line.)

Adults and high school students only. Wine reception at 6:30pm for pre-registered guests.

Storytellers:

Adam Mansbach is a novelist, screenwriter, cultural critic, humorist and author of NYT bestsellers Go the F*** to Sleep, and You Have to F***ing Eat. His novels include Rage is Back, Angry Black White Boy, and The End of the Jews. He is co-author of Jake the Fake Keeps it Real series, which he is currently adapting for the Disney Channel. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, NYT Book Review, Esquire, The Guardian, and on This American Life and The Moth.

Richard Sarvate grew up in the Bay Area to parents of Indian descent. His comedy covers his experience as a first generation Indian immigrant, why he quit his 10 year career in Silicon Valley to pursue comedy, and what it was like growing up with a schizophrenic mother. He's opened for Roseanne Barr, has toured internationally, and runs a comedy club in San Francisco called The Setup.

Judi Le fled Vietnam on the eve of the fall of Saigon, ended up in a refugee camp in Arkansas, and eventually settled with her family in Katy, TX. She spent eight years writing and performing her story about a young girl straddling two cultures, in shows in and around Los Angeles. She now calls San Francisco home, and is looking forward to sharing her family’s story in the Bay Area.

Emcee: Josh Healey
Josh is a writer, performer, and creative activist. He has been featured in The New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle, and is a regular on NPR’s Snap Judgment.
