Brian Turner is a poet and Iraq War veteran and author of the acclaimed poetry collections Here, Bullet and Phantom Noise and the memoir My Life as a Foreign Country. His military service informs his writing, described by the Washington post as full of "beauty, fragility and heartbreaking splendor."
