Mill Valley's FREE Get Ready Class this Saturday
Are You Prepared?
Posted Date: 2/17/2013 10:00 AM

It’s not too late to have Being Ready as a New Year’s resolution! Make sure that you have enough food, water, first aid and emergency supplies on hand to take care of yourself and your family in the event that you have to shelter in place for 5-7 days. What would you do if following an earthquake, there’s no power, no phone coverage and stores are closed?

As we’re learning from Hurricane Sandy and other large scale disasters, recovery from these events is safer and quicker if you have the supplies and knowledge to “weather” them.

Join us for Mill Valley’s FREE Get Ready class, THIS SATURDAY,  February 23rd at the Mill Valley Community Center 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Join us and find out what you need to do to be prepared for the hazards common to our area.

Registration is encouraged although walk-ins are welcome. Call 380-1105 to sign up or for more information.

Home preparedness kit GET READY is a FREE 1.5 hour class that teaches you how to prepare your home and family for a fire, flood or earthquake. It is sponsored by the County of Marin and the Mill Valley Fire Dept.

Pre-registration recommended. Call 380-1105 or send an email to getready@smfd.org with your name, phone number, email address and class you want to attend.
