The MV2040 General Plan Advisory Committe and Land Use & Mobility Working Group will meet Saturday, October 6th at 1:25pm on the corner of Old Mill and Throckmorton for a 2-hour housing walking tour. The tour will end at 3:30pm at City Hall. Use this link to download the handout for the walking tour, which includes a map.
The purpose of the Housing Walking Tour is to:
- Provide members of the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) and Land Use & Mobility Working Group with an opportunity to see examples of various housing stock that exist in selected areas near downtown, Miller and East Blithedale. These areas were selected for walking convenience and because of the variety of housing that can be viewed. Members of the public also welcome.
- Become familiar with development standards in the City’s existing residential and commercial Zoning Districts. Zoning regulates the use and improvement of land, buildings and other structures in order to insure that growth and development in the City occurs in an orderly and desirable manner.
- Help the GPAC and Land Use & Mobility Working Group better understand and assess existing and potential housing sites and constraints as part of their work on the MV2040 Housing Element.
