30 New Parking Meters Accept Credit/Debit Cards
Three Month Pilot Program
Posted Date: 9/25/2012 2:45 PM

The Mill Valley Police Department announced today the installation of 30 new parking meters as part of a three-month pilot program.  The meters, which accept credit or debit card payments and run on solar energy, will be installed downtown near the Depot Plaza and on Throckmorton Avenue.

In addition to being more consumer and environmentally friendly, the meters are also able to collect data regarding their use, which will be valuable to City officials as they determine future parking needs.  The City is renting the meters for $8 per meter, per month, during the three-month trial.

Your input about the new meters is welcome during the pilot program.  If you have thoughts to share or questions to ask, please contact the Mill Valley Police Department at 415.389.4100 or email us at info@cityofmillvalley.org.
