Illustrator I | July 29th, 7:00pm

In this class, we will explore the basics of Adobe Illustrator CS6. We’ll take a tour of the Illustrator user interface, and look at some of the key drawing tools. We’ll practice drawing with the pen tool, and creating vector graphics with shape tools and the pathfinder. We’ll take a brief look at text in Illustrator, as well as the Live Paint and Image Trace features. The class will also include a discussion of differences between Photoshop and Illustrator, and differences between vector and raster (bitmap) images. This class is geared towards students who have experience working on the Mac OS and are comfortable with computers, however no background in Illustrator is required.

Instructor: Elaine Gruenke
Elaine Gruenke has worked as a professional graphic designer for over fifteen years. She has a special passion for Photoshop
