Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949)
Monday, October 7th @ 7:30 p.m.
Kind Hearts and Coronets is a 1949 British black comedy about how to get to be a Duke when there are eight family members ahead of you. So in typical British fashion Louis Mazzini (Dennis Price) proceeds to eliminate all in any way he can. He successfully knocks off seven and the eighth conveniently goes down with his ship. Interestingly, all the soon-to-die D’Ascoynes are played by Alec Guinness, including Lady Agatha. Louis is unfortunately undone and is falsely convicted for murdering Lionel (John Penrose)a boyhood friend. Never fear, this is not the end of Louis.
Doors open at 7:00. This series is sponsored by The Friends of the Mill Valley Library. For more Programs and Events at the Library, see the Library Events Calendar.
