Milley Award LogoThe Milley Awards are sponsored by the Mill Valley Art Commission and produced by the Milley Awards Board of Directors, a volunteer community group. Nominations are open throughout the year and judges change annually.

The Milley Awards for Creative Achievement, now in its 22nd year, is held each October to honor Mill Valley’s creative artists. Its board of directors is soliciting new nominations, particularly in the field of Literary Arts and Contributions to the Arts Community. In addition, nominations are open for Visual Arts, Performing Arts (Film, Theater and Dance), Musical Arts.

Nomination Brochures and forms for 2016 are available at City Hall, the Mill Valley Library, the Community Center, Chamber of Commerce and Mill Valley arts-related businesses. Nominations remain in force for three years, and can be renewed and improved. The submission deadline is April 18. Judging by a panel of judges from the community will take place in late May. Awardees will be announced in early summer, and the awards will be given at a gala dinner ceremony October 23rd at the Mill Valley Community Center.
