Introduction to Google Drive | February 15th, 1:00pm
Google Drive is Google’s cloud-based service available to people with a Google account. Google drive provides access to word processing, digital slide presentation and spreadsheet software in addition to providing cloud storage for a wide variety of files. It is also possible to collaborate with other Google users. This class will cover how to upload files, how to share and collaborate on files the basics of working with Google docs, Presentation and Spreadsheets and how to access Google Drive from your computer, smart phone, or tablet.
Instructor: Lynne Watenpaugh
Lynne Watenpaugh has been a public school teacher for over twenty years. During her career she has taught both children and adults. She currently teaches technology classes at Mill Valley Middle School. She sees technology as a tool to manipulate in order to express one’s ideas. She has an undergraduate degree in English from UCLA, a Master Degree in Instructional Technology from San Francisco State University, is a California Writing Project Fellow, and a Google Certified Teacher.
Pre-requisite: To participate in this course, you must have basic computer skills, using a keyboard and mouse, and preferably have experience with Mac OS.
