GardenSmart: The Living Ground -- Soil Cultivation| August 21st, 7:00 pm

Take part in this primer on organic soil cultivation, from principles to practices. We'll learn about the physical and biological properties of soil, including the intricate soil food web present in every healthy garden. Additional topics will include the use of compost, the growing and use of cover crops, and sheet mulching.
About our speaker:  Laura Nicoletti is a Marin County Master Gardener, member of the Marin Master Garden Pruning Guild, has a Sonoma State certification in Sustainable Landscaping, and is a Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professional.  Through her garden design business, she loves to teach her clients how to become stewards of the environment around them, cultivating sustainable gardens.  A native of Venice, Italy, Laura is an avid edible gardener and loves to use fresh ingredients in her cooking.
