GardenSmart: Growing Tomatoes in Mill Valley During a Drought | April 9th, 7:00 pm

In collaboration with Marin Master Gardeners, Mill Valley Public Library presents Growing Tomatoes in Mill Valley During a Drought.

Joe Jennings will speak on the joys of growing your own juicy ripe tomatoes in Marin County. He will review the basics for planting, watering and maintaining your plants, discuss which varieties will be successful, introduce you to scaffolding, and address water-wise strategies.

About our speaker: Joe Jennings is a Larkspur resident who grows vegetables year-round and is experimenting with Native California plants in his yard. After 29 years in San Francisco he and his wife Marisa moved to Larkspur in 2009. They enjoy gardening, hiking, biking, and home remodeling. Joe is a technology patent broker who earned an MBA from the University of Washington.
