Exploration of the Googleverse | March 19th, 7:00pm Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. In this class, we'll discuss the different types of information you can find and things you can do with Google. We'll cover a range of search topics: from Google's built-in dictionary to weather predictions, News and Finance. Then, we'll discuss ways to explore the physical world using Maps and the Art Project. We'll also touch on Google's publishing, communication and collaboration tools like Blogger, Gmail, Docs and a whole lot more!
Instructor: Debbie Leight Debbie Leight is the owner of Computers Made Easy, a Bay Area-based company that offers computer, smartphone and tablet tutoring. Debbie grew up in Silicon Valley and has worked in software for her entire career. She spent more than seven years at Google, where she trained new hires and clients in the use of Excel and conducted classes on how to use Google Apps. She founded Computers Made Easy in 2001 and today works with a wide variety of clients, from grandmothers and grandfathers with their first iPhone or iPad to small business owners who want to use technology to be more productive.
Experience required: Basic computer skills, using a keyboard and mouse
