Ready Mill Valley Backyard Campout
Saturday, June 7th, 2014

Celebrate the outdoors in your backyard or at the Community Center with neighbors and friends, all while learning about the skills you will need to survive a natural disaster.

Be a part of the backyard campout by pitching a tent and living outdoors for a night in the comfort of your own backyard. We can give you pointers on how you can make your backyard campout a success and help you prepare your household in the case of an emergency.

Want to share the backyard camping experience with other families, neighbors, and friends? Reserve a campsite at the Mill Valley Community Center and prepare for an evening of campfire programming, family fun, and preparedness activities that will engage all members of your household.

Here are some fun activities and resources to make your Backyard Campout a success:

Emergency Kit Cook Off
The Emergency Kit Cook-Off challenges you to find creative use for the three day's worth of food and potable water that you squirreled away for the family in case of an emergency. So take a look in your pantry and get cooking.

Activities, Crafts & More
The Great American Backyard Campout website has ideas for games, crafts, wildlife watching tips and more fun activities for your campout.
