Junior Lifesaver Academy & Aquatics Academy
Learn what it takes to become a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard! Mill Valley Youth Programs are a great way to see if Aquatics is right for you! Learn what it's like to work poolside and how to help in emergencies. An introduction into water rescues, entries, spinal stabilization and first aid will be covered. An emphasis on practicing swimming skills will help prepare participates to be the best when it's time to respond. Youth also receive instruction and training on how to teach swim lessons and are expected to be professional, mature and good with children.
Mandatory Orientation for all Jr. Lifesavers and Aquatic Academy Participants on Wed June 12th from 3:30-5:00pm

A typical 8:45am-3:30pm day in Aquatics Academy & Jr. Lifesavers includes: assisting with swim lessons, learning lifeguarding skills, team building, CPR/AED and First Aid training and review, shadowing Lifeguards, Water Safety activities, plus fun in the pool and on the water slide.Junior Lifesaver Academy*
