Award-Winning American Novelists Book Club (fiction)
Every 4th Tues. of each month at 7pm

Formerly the Literary Conversations Book Club, our new Award-Winning American Novelists Book Club (starting January 24th, 2017) will focus on books by American authors who have received prestigious awards for fiction writers such as the Pulitzer, Nobel, PEN/Faulkner, and National Book Award. These selections, chosen by book club members new and old, run the gamut from new releases to classics. The club is facilitated by a long-time member of Mill Valley Public Library book clubs. All are welcome, including those who have not yet read the book but want to learn about it!

World Literature Book Club (fiction)
Every 2nd Tues. of each month at 7pm

The global economy has erased arbitrary boundaries between cultures.  On a daily basis, we interact with the world in both large and small ways.  We call phone banks in India, e-mail on-line businesses in England, drink fair-trade coffee from Columbia, read about micro-lending in Africa, and shop for green toys made in Thailand. But what about literature?  Does the country define the writer or does the writer define the country?  Or can literature take place in a global vacuum, devoid of setting?  Join us as we dip in the literary waters of many cultures and sample some of the best of the best, one book at a time.

Click on any of the meetings below to learn how to register.

Friends Book Group
Every 3rd Wed. of each month at 3:30pm

If a book is worth reading it's worth discussing.  Friends Book Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the library conference room.  Books are democratically chosen from a wide variety of types. The public is welcome.  For more information call Ann  Roth-Card at 415/383-7306.
